Obsessed with Spider-Man!

Casper was more than happy to show off his new Spider-Man pajamas while posing with "Spider-Man tricks".  Note the web slinging hands!

In September, Casper had an eye test done at Children's Hospital.  They spoiled him rotten with spider man stickers and orange sunglasses.  He was such a good boy for his test.  He did cry at all, even though they had to give him an IV and sedate him.  He was very brave!!

Mommy's Birthday!

I enjoyed a gluten free chocolate cake for her birthday and the family surprised me with a beautiful strand of pearls! I have such a great husband and kiddos...definitely a day to be thankful!

Labor Day at Grant's Farm

Daddy was on break from school for a couple of weeks in late August and early September.  We took advantage of his time off as much as possible.  We even took a family trip to Grant's Farm on Labor Day.  It was a fun, relaxing trip.

Daddy helped Casper take some pictures with his digital camera, Zebras are one of Casper's favorite animals.

Sadie just enjoyed the ride.

Chinese Lantern Festival

In July, Chris and I planned a date night to visit the Chinese Lantern Festival at the Missouri Botanical Garden.  We hired a babysitter and everything.  We drove all the way downtown only to discover that it was sold out!  We were bummed, so instead, we went to the grocery store, without kids, which is a reward in itself.

I had been so excited to go, I preordered tickets for the last week of the event.  When we finally went, we had a great time.  The first time we tried to visit, it was over 100 degrees, during our actual visit, it was only in the 70's.  It ended up being much more enjoyable all around.  We had a great evening and enjoyed the displays - in the daylight, and again after dark.

This is what we do at our house...

Baby Can Read and Spiderman Tricks...Sadie just watches him and doesn't really try to figure out why he does the things he does.

...those big blue eyes...

Feeling a little wild this morning...

Boys will be boys...Casper with his two friends down the street, Aaron and Drew.

Sadie's 6 Month Pictures

Lollipop Photography took some great pictures of the kiddos on the Mizzou campus.  Sadie was 6 months old and not in the best mood for the pictures.  She did take an opportunity to show off some of her skills...sitting, standing, and a beautiful smile!

Fourth of July in Michigan

While we were in Michigan, over the Fourth of July, we visited the State Park in Grand Haven and spent a little time in the Lake.

Sadie had mixed feelings about the Lake, she enjoyed the sun but wasn't a fan of the cold water.

Casper had a blast.  He loved being buried in the sand...my little merman!  After he took a couple of hours or so to warm up to it, he had a great time playing in the water.

The next day we spent some time at Aunt Joann and Uncle Greg's...swimming in the pool...

and just hanging out in the yard...

Casper even got to drive Greg's tractor.  He had a great time moving the bucket, he took his task very seriously.  I don't know what they did at the back of the property, but I'm pretty sure he got to dig something.

Poppy and Casper even got to go for a ride around the property in the trailer.
